Tamara Yoneda

Tamara Yoneda is a Master Trainer in Gyrotonic Expansion System.  Her background includes education in Classical, Movement and Healing Arts.   Tamara began studying with Innovator Juliu Hovarth in 1988, and in 1991 became Certified in Spinal Gymnastics and the Gyrotonic Expansion System, known as Gyrokinesis and Gyrotonic.  Her practice emphasis is in gyrotonic application for the professional dancer and athlete and helped pioneer clinical gyrotonic public access.  In 2001, after a nine years practice with Dr. John DeRoy, Civic Plaza Chiropractic/White Cloud West, San Francisco, California, she became a Certified Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis Master Trainer.  She currently conducts Gyrokinesis, Gyrotonic, Gyrotonic Level 2, and all Gyrotonic Specialized Equipment (Jumping - Stretching Board, The Archway, Leg Extension Unit and the Gyrotoner) Teachers Trainings.   She conducts teacher trainers at Mind Body Connection Studio in Emeryville, California and in the Hawaiian Islands.  She is based in Kono, Hawaii where she enjoys gardening and ocean swimming.
