About Pilates

Joseph H. Pilates designed this method to work every muscle in the body in an efficient and balanced way. He believed "the attainment and maintenance of a uniformly developed body with a sound mind" was necessary to be able to perform our many daily tasks with spontaneous zest, pleasure and ease. Pilates' method of physical conditioning uses special apparatus designed to isolate and work muscle groups without stressing the joints. Adjustable spring resistance is applied to muscles using ropes, pulleys, and rollers that allow one to strengthen muscles while concentrating on posture, breathing, and releasing tension in the body.

Mind Body Connection offers personal training or group training designed to your needs, whether you want to get more fit or if you are recovering from a sports injury or other condition requiring medical treatment and physical therapy. Your training will include a fitness assessment, functional conditioning, strength and flexibility training. All trainers at Mind Body Connection are Pilates certified.

Special Pilates Group Class - Pilates Fusion

This class begins with a warm up that consist dance and flowing movements that will slowly open the joints and muscles from head to toe while incorporating coordination and balance. Then the class will move in the Pilates Mat exercises that will emphasize postural alignment and correct breathing to tone and create long lean muscles. The class will end with a cool down by stretching the muscles and short meditation for stress reduction. Please see our class schedule.

Pilates Group Reformer Series

Come & workout on a Pilates Apparatus. We've made it easy for you. Simply choose the day(s) and time(s) you want to work out with our highly qualified trainers. Bring a friend, or be paired with a person of similar abilities, and start the path to better health and fitness.

Please inquire for a time convenient with your schedule. Choices include:
• Once or twice a week
• Choice of Days and Hours
• Workout with someone you know
• Workout with someone of similar abilities
• Qualify for special Personal Workout Program
